The Enneagram: why you do what you do

The Enneagram groups people into nine types by what drives them. Two people can both work late every night, one to feel safe and one to be admired; they are different types. Your result names your type, your wing, and where you tend to go under stress and when things are going well.

The Big Five: how much of each trait

The Big Five measures five traits that personality researchers have studied for decades. Everyone has a score on each one, so instead of a type you get a profile: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.

Questions

Which personality test should I take?
Take the Enneagram test if you want a type that explains your motivations: what you want, what you avoid, and why you react the way you do. Take the Big Five test if you want a measure researchers use, with a score on five traits compared with other adults. They take about 9 and 6 minutes, and many people take both.
Are the tests free?
Yes. Both tests and their results are free, and we do not ask for your email to show them. Each test has an optional full report for $19, or $29 for all reports.
Do you store my answers?
Your answers stay in your browser while you take a test, and your result lives in the page link, so there is no account and nothing to delete. If you buy a report, your answers are stored with your payment at Stripe so the report can be rebuilt from your link.
Can a personality test diagnose anything?
No. These tests describe personality for self-reflection. They are not a mental health assessment, and they should not be used to make hiring decisions.
